about me

'Cause I 'felt' like it . . .

Throw an over-sized knitted pumpkin into your washing machine and what do you get?

A smaller version of itself, of course. But now you have a pumpkin felted to woolly perfection! It just screams to be embellished with a little embroidery, a string of beads, a needle felted jack o' lantern face or simply do nothing at all.

The Harvest Pumpkin, shown with me, is my very first pattern design. Once you have a basic ball shape figured out, then adding two more balls is easy, right? Can you guess what my next pattern was after the pumpkin? Who would of ever imagined where that one pattern has taken me?

Felting combines the love of knitting and sculpture, creating my 3-dimensional toy-like art! People always ask me, how long have you been knitting? I tell them eighteen years now, and it all started with a two-needle mitten.

I live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my husband of 35 years and have two grown children. They give me the best encouragement and whimsical advice any creative person could hope for.

I hope you enjoy knitting my patterns as much as I've enjoyed creating them for you.

Happy knitting!
